Another car arrives

with a beat-up Vaughn, whom the thugs say is CIA from his gizmos
and whom Simon is ready to shoot in the head

until Syd says, hey, he's mine to kill if he's CIA

So Sydney grabs a knife, grabs Vaughn

and says, you betrayed me
Vaughn looks

as he's stabbed by Sydney and kicked down the cliff by Simon

who take a peak before driving off ...

leaving Vaughn stabbed, rolled, beat-up, unconscious, and generally in poor condition until the
next episode airs
