Switching to Yellow Mal and Zoe, meeting another group of salvagers 

who demand their cargo with noise but little wit,
a deficiency that Mal attempts to exploit by baiting

a very dirty-looking Jayne

Using the full capacity of his attempt to barter an agreement with Jayne, Mal incites Jayne

to shoot one partner in the leg
and hold his other partner at gun point as Jayne agrees to join Serenity

Switching back to Real Hue, the salvagers shoot Mal in the gut
... ah, the source of the wound seen in earlier Blue footage!

But Mal is able to grab a hidden gun and rise, wound and all

The salvagers leave the part
and make their exit
